On September. 13, Bracket, a clinical trial technology and specialty services provider based in Wayne, Pennsylvania, announced the hiring of Sam Whitaker as chief technology officer (CTO). Whitaker’s responsibilities will include global product strategy, management and innovation, technology development and engineering, including architecture, user experience (UX), user interface (UI) and IT support functions.

According to a press release, Whitaker has had ten years of experience in clinical technology and global infrastructure innovation. He “will leverage his ten years' experience as co-founder and CEO of Greenphire, the first clinical technology to bring payment technology to the clinical environment,” the company said. Whitaker, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, also worked in the product division of Citigroup, designing technology solutions across vertical markets.
